1. MATE AND MISTRESS
**Sibyl**
On our third wedding anniversary, my soulmate brought a mistress into the pack.
"Sibyl, Daisy is my wife now, from this moment on she is going to live with me," Edwin introduced us, his arm curled around a small beautiful she-wolf with a fragile figure and an innocent face that was nervously clinging to my soulmate's arm.
The bouquet of flowers slipped from my hand, I felt as if I had been struck by lightning.
"What did you just say?" I stared at him in disbelief. This had to be a joke, an absurd one that I refused to laugh at but the rings on both of their fingers, the romantic energy surrounding them, did not give me a different impression.
“You heard me, Sibyl,” Edwin quietly remarked. “She is my wife and…”
“Then who am I?” I demanded.
He stared at me blankly for a couple of seconds. “Of course, you are my soulmate, Sibyl. You are my love and my Luna but Daisy is also going to be living with us. Take care of her…”
“NONSENSE!” I growled, cutting him off. “You dare marry another woman then bring her here to our home for me to take care of her?! What do you think I am, Edwin?! We are soulmates. There is no place for a third person in this relationship. So how the hell are you…”
“Sibyl, I can explain everything to you,” Edwin grabbed me by the arms. “I have a reason for doing this…”
“I refuse,” I declared, breaking out of his grasp. “I refuse to accept any of your reasons or this woman, Edwin.” I had been decorating the packhouse since I had woken up that morning, making his favorite meal and preparing a gift but what he returned to me with was his new wife.
Edwin looked helplessly at my red eyes and flushed cheeks, "Sibyl…” he took a step towards me trying to touch me but Daisy jumped on his arm shaking.
"Goddess! Edwin, is she blind?" Daisy suddenly exclaimed, her wide eyes fixated on my black glasses, which I had been wearing, her words trampling on my dignity. "A blind Luna?”
I was Luna of the Lunar Eclipse Pack, Sibyl Hall. Four years ago, I had lost my sight during a war between my old pack and a group of rogues. My eyes were so severely damaged that even my life had been at risk. Thankfully, I was saved yet my human eyes had been rendered completely blind.
My wolf struggled relentlessly to heal our eyesight in angry frustration. Eventually, I managed to regain my sight in my wolf form, but in a way I never imagined. My eyes turned completely white like a ghost, frightening people. Even werewolves used to freak out at the sight of my eyes. Only I knew how many times I had wanted to gouge my eyes out after I had become a living monster to my own people, but I had failed every time. From that day forward, I began wearing sunglasses, hoping to make my life less painful. Apparently, it had only been the first stage of my suffering. Now, I faced the stage where my soulmate, my first love, had brought another woman into our relationship.
“I am scared, Alpha,” she timidly clung to Edwin, her eyes fearfully avoiding me.
“There is nothing to be afraid of, Daisy. Sibyl is my soulmate. I am here for you,” he did not push her away. Instead, he held her lovingly right in front of my eyes, their close proximity caused my heart to bleed.
“But she hates me…” she whispered, leaning into his chest.
I completely lost control of my wolf and I violently shoved her away from Edwin, “Don’t touch my mate!!” I screamed at the top of my lungs.
“AHH…” Daisy cried out as she fell to the floor, her head bleeding.
“SIBYL!! WHAT THE FUCK YOU ARE DOING?!” Edwin angrily growled at me before running to Daisy.
“Are you alright?” He hurriedly checked her for injuries. He wiped away her tears then pulled her into a hug while I stood there heartbroken and abandoned. So, this was how everything was going to play out.
Edwin helped her to get up from the ground as he glanced at me, “Sibyl, how could you attack Daisy? I never expected such poor behavior from you! You disappointed me.”
My mouth was slightly gaped at his remark. “Edwin… you…” I shook my head looking between two of them, “We are done, Edwin!” I barked right in his face then I turned my heel toward the packhouse.
"What?" Edwin stood there stunned. "What do you mean, we're done, Sibyl?" he yelled, but I didn't stop. "Stop right there, Sibyl!" he ordered, but I didn't care. I entered the packhouse, which shone like a new bride.
Every decoration, every candle screamed my love for Edwin, but now none of it held any meaning when my soulmate was no longer solely mine. All of his claims of love and honesty turned out to be lies. My life had never been normal to begin with. I had been raised and abandoned by horrible parents, survived among the nastiest of werewolves, then though I was rewarded by the Goddess when I met my soulmate three years ago. He came as a ray of happiness in my life. I devoted myself to him completely, I tried to overcome the past memories, and vowed to be with him for the rest of my life. It did not matter whether I was blind or...
"Sibyl!" Edwin had long left Daisy in the front yard and rushed inside the packhouse, catching me in less than 10 seconds. "Can't you hear me?" I was pulled into our bedroom where he pressed me against the wall. "Answer me!" He screamed in my face, his eyes full of anger and obsession. "What do you fucking mean we are done?"
I kept my back straight as I stared into his eyes. "It is simple, Edwin. You married another woman while I was still alive. There will never be a reason that you can give me for marrying her that will get me to believe you because I can plainly see your lust for her. You have betrayed me, Edwin!"
Having been in a relationship with him for years, I was well aware of his likes and dislikes, as well as the look in his eyes that he reserved for Daisy.
When I confronted him, the room fell into a dead silence and Edwin's expression changed. "Then who’s fault is it that I had to bring another woman into my life, Sibyl?" he asked. "It has been four years, yet you have not given me a child. What do you expect from an Alpha like me when his soulmate cannot provide him with an heir?"
My eyes widened as my heart dropped into my stomach when he poked at the most sensitive wound of my life: my infertility. During the battle against the rogues I not only lost my eyesight but my fertility as well. At the time I had sunk into a severe depression for months when I learned that I could never bear a child. Other females in the pack had babies in their arms while I was left barren.
"So, you married Daisy for an heir?" I asked, my voice trembling with shock.
He hesitated for a moment before admitting, "Yes."
I held my breath in shock, "I thought you were fine with my infertility and that I was enough for you."
"I lied," he confessed, throwing me into the pit of deception. My heart tightened upon hearing the most devastating truth of my life.
"Can there be a man in this world that doesn't want a child, Sibyl? I am no different. That's why I tried to breed you almost every day, but you did not conceive. You failed me but I did not want to break your heart. So I kept those feelings buried inside me for years," his every word made me realize the web of lies that I had been living in for years. The memories of us spending time happily together turned to lies in my mind.
"How could you..."
He grabbed my hand before I could speak. "I did not betray you. I have only married Daisy so that she can provide me with an heir. But I only love you, Sibyl, you are my only soulmate. Let's not make it into a big deal and live together happily, okay?"
I raised my hand and gave him a harsh slap across the face, "You must have lost your mind, Edwin. At this point, you're trying to tell me that you did not betray me? You're asking me to accept your mistress! You're asking me to live happily with another woman included as part of our mate bond that will be carrying your child in front of me? How dare you, Edwin! HOW DARE YOU!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
Edwin clenched his fists, angrily closed his eyes. "I am doing all of this for our future, Sibyl," he gritted his teeth and opened his red eyes so that they locked on mine. "You have no idea what I have gone through because of your infertility," he accused, my heart squeezing in my chest. "The Elders are questioning me, pressuring me to provide an heir or give my Alpha position to my brother. There is no way I am giving up on my dreams and future."
"So, this is the state of things then..." my voice was barely above a whisper but brimming with my pain. "Your greed for your position is so high that you betrayed our mate bond! Your obsession with a child is so great that you're not bothered by having it from any womb, even if it's not mine!" I pushed him away in heartbreak.
"True, I am greedy for both my Alpha position and a child," he finally admitted brashly, his eyes emotionless.
I clenched my fists and nodded. "Alright, since you've made your choice, do me the same service. I refuse to accept your new wife or your absurd demand of living together with her. I don't want to live with a man who betrayed me. We are over."
Edwin's eyes darkened. "Nothing can be over unless I say it is, Sibyl!" He grabbed my arm tightly, causing me so much pain that I hissed.
"Let go! You're hurting me!" I struggled, but he kept tightening his grip. "I don't want to have anything to do with you now, Edwin. You chose Daisy over me!"
"This is my territory; I will be the only Alpha ruling here. I have told you that Daisy is going to live with us and carry my baby, that's final," he declared. At this point, the man standing before me was no longer the man I fell in love with three years ago. "I did betray you, but only for a child. It doesn't mean I don't love you or that I don't want you. There's no way you can leave me, Sibyl!! I refuse to let you go!"
I stared at him in shock, "What the hell are you saying?"
He smiled and suddenly pulled me into a forced kiss, "I am telling you that I want my mate and mistress both."
My eyes widened at his remark as my mind went blank. He wanted to keep both of us? His painful grip on my hair kept me from struggling, his obsession with not letting me move scared me more and more.
I used all my strength to push him away and delivered another slap. "I am not some toy that you can play with, Edwin!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. He staggered a little, his face snapping to the side. "I've had enough of you, Edwin. I never knew you were this kind of person," I bit my lip. Never in my wildest imagination had I thought that I would be standing at a point where I would need to speak these words, "I, Luna Sibyl Hall, reject Alpha Edwin as my soulmate!" I declared.
Instantly, the bond severed from my end, causing Edwin's wolf to go insane in his mind. His eyes widened as his expression turned dark with evil intent before he grabbed my throat. "What the fuck did you just say?" he barked into my face, his eyes red.
His grip on my throat didn't allow me to breathe let alone answer. "L...et g...o..." I struggled to break free, wheezing as I tried to breathe, but his strength overpowered me. He grabbed my hair with his other hand and released my neck only to toss me onto the bed.
"I don't accept your rejection," he muttered.
I coughed hard and struggled to breathe as I crawled on the bed. My glasses had long ago been knocked off my face. What just happened? Had Edwin... tried to strangle me? My love? My soulmate? The man that had never raised his voice to me? However, the pain in my throat and the heartbreak of my wolf screamed in my mind that what had just happened to me was as real as the sound of Edwin crushing my glasses under his heel.
"I get that you're angry with me over Daisy, but that doesn't mean you can lose your mind to this extent," he remarked, fondly stroking my hair. "Now take back the rejection like a good girl, Sibyl," he whispered.
"No," I growled, slapping his hand away. "I reject you, and I don't want to live with you anymore. Let me go!" I screamed, attempting to get off of the bed, but Edwin caught me again and violently threw me back onto the bed.
"Now don't blame me for going crazy, Sibyl," he growled, unbuckling his belt.
"What are you doing?!" I shouted, once again trying to get off of the bed, but he crawled on top of my body, pinning both of my hands above my head, and tied them with his belt. "DON'T DO THAT! LET ME GO! UNTIE ME!!" I screamed, using every bit of my strength to break free, but it was all in vain.
Once he tied me, he sat on my thighs and grabbed my cheek, his eyes filled with a twisted look that would scare even the evilest of individuals. "I'm giving you time to think, Sibyl. I really don't want to mistreat you. Make a wise decision, take back your rejection when I return," he leaned down and kissed my lips.
"No!" I moved my face, but he grabbed my jaw and forcefully kissed me, biting my lips until they bled.
"And if your answer doesn't change, then you'll become acquainted with the worst of me," he rubbed his cock against my vagina once before getting off the bed.
"UNTIE ME!! LET ME GO, EDWIN!!" I kept yelling, but all he did was ignore me and lock me in the room.
The room filled with the sounds of my struggles and screams until my throat hurt, and I had to give up. Staring up at the ceiling as I listened to the sounds of Edwin introducing Daisy to the pack as his wife paralyzed me. Edwin... really had betrayed me, for another woman and a child. Not just that, he even treated me in a way I never imagined. The love of my life actually had another face that I was never aware of.
As the night grew darker, the sound of music echoed in my ears. The pack celebrated Daisy's welcome with a party. The gossip was all about my blindness and infertility. There was no one in the pack that was not aware of why I had been dumped and Daisy was chosen. My heart broke into countless pieces until I could no longer bear it.
I struggled to break free for a couple of seconds, but the belt around my wrists tightened until I shifted into my wolf, Zara. My wolf form was bigger and more powerful. Using my wolf's strength, I managed to break free.
When I shifted back into my human form, my clothes were mostly torn, but I could have cared less about it as I stormed out of my room. Edwin had to accept the rejection, freeing me from this tainted mate bond. He had to...
I paused in the hallway when I heard the sound of moaning coming from one of the rooms. I froze in place and glanced inside the crack bedroom door, only to freeze in another heartbreak.
Edwin and Daisy were having sex.
Edwin had finally crossed the point of no return. What little remained of my heart was crushed at the sight of the two of them rolling around on the bed, moaning, and making love.
"Sibyl..." Edwin moaned my name with each thrust he made into Daisy. "I will not let you go... I will never accept your rejection..." he pulled Daisy's hair and continued to wildly fuck her while speaking those obsessive statements.
I slowly took a few steps back and returned to my bedroom. Edwin was not going to let me go because of his wolf, but I could not stay with him after the depth of this betrayal. I simply packed my luggage, put on a new set of glasses, and left the pack without looking back.
Once I was out of Lunar Moon Pack territory, my tears finally broke free from my eyes. Falling to my knees, I screamed my heart out in pain.
Why had this happened to me?
2. AN ALPHA
**Sibyl**
Sitting at the bus station, I stared at the ominous clouds as lightning streaked across them with dead eyes. The night was deserted, with only a few cars passing by. Soon, heavy rain began pouring down, despite it not being the rainy season. As expected, even the weather seemed to have turned against me. Ten minutes later, I boarded the bus, taking the last corner seat by the window, while my mind filled with memories of Edwin's abuse and betrayal.
No matter how many times I tried, I couldn't forget the image of him and Daisy together. Hearing him call her by my name while he fucked her made me feel even sicker. My whole body still ached with the intense pain of his betrayal. It had already been half an hour, but I could still feel the pain coursing through my body, even though I had broken the bond from my side.
The memories of the moment that we first recognized each other as soulmates along with all the other sweet moments we shared in the past shattered in my mind, making my heart shred to the point where tears silently flowed down my cheeks.
How could my world crumble like it had been made of sand? Or had it always been this fragile and tainted?
The rose petal covered nest that I had believed was my home actually had thorns hidden beneath. I had lost everything in the blink of an eye. At this point, Edwin had turned out to be no different from the other men from my past. My drunk, abusive father, my perverted uncle, and my trash of a brother...all of them were a disgrace to the name of men.
There was already enough hate for men built up inside me thanks to all the shining examples of male in my family life. Now Edwin had added another layer of hatred to all the others. My hand went to my throat, where a handprint and pain were still palpable. Just then, Edwin's words crossed my mind:
“I want my mate and mistress both.”
“Nothing can be over unless I say it is, Sibyl!”
I tilted my head and gazed at the rain outside.
“I don't need a soulmate. I don't need a man. I don't need a pack,” I murmured to myself, wiping my tears away and putting my glasses back on.
An hour later, the bus dropped me off at the bus station in the next city. It was the city that I had been born in, my old pack used to be settled here, I had spent the first 21 years of my life here before I met Edwin and followed him to his pack. While looking for a taxi, I noticed all the shops had closed, which was strange as this city was home to mostly werewolves-pack wolves, some lone wolves, and even rogues. Sixty percent of the city population was werewolves and they never slept at night, let alone closed their shops so early. How could the city have changed so much in just three years? Was I missing something?
I got so distracted by the gloominess of my surroundings that I didn't notice someone walking towards me until I collided with them. I froze in place when my head hit something hard, that ended up being someone’s chest. The scent coming from the person was so strong and masculine that it rooted my feet to the concrete. He... was a werewolf. No, he was an Alpha. His cold aura surrounded me with its dominance, to the point that my wolf, Zara, paused in my mind holding her breath just like me.
His silence unsettled my heart, it was at this point that I realized he was not alone. There were many others behind him. That was when the smell of fresh blood hit my nose, I blinked behind my sunglasses and found his white shirt splattered with blood. Not only that, I sensed some of them were in their wolf forms. Shit! It turned out that I had bumped into someone dangerous.
My mind screamed one word: avoid. I immediately pulled away from his chest, secretly opened my folded white cane, while I kept my head low, never allowing him to see my face. I didn't know why, but I had a feeling he had been looking at me.
“I am sorry,” I apologized then walked past him, the sound of my white cane echoing in the surroundings.
“She is blind?” one of the wolves commented. I was sure they were from the same pack. I continued walking at a normal pace, yet I still felt that man’s eyes on me. It was as if he had turned around and was watching my every move with predatory eyes. Was it only my imagination? Whatever it was, I was not looking for trouble with anyone. Especially with that kind of man who was obviously dangerous.
Taking a taxi, I arrived at the apartment in the middle of the city. Nothing in the building seemed to have changed until my eyes fell on the broken doorknob of my apartment. It was proof of poor maintenance that made me frown.
Using my key, I entered my house, only to be greeted by my four-year-old nephew playing in the living room.
“Aunt Sibyl!!” He excitedly rushed all the way over to hug my legs. My heart warmed,my depressed mood was lifted slightly by this innocent child's hug.
I smiled and squatted down to his height. “Did you miss your aunt?” I lovingly kissed his forehead.
“Yes! I missed my aunt and chocolates too!” He eagerly looked at my hand for treats, knowing that I always bought him some.
“I didn't bring chocolate with me, but I'll take you out for ice cream in the morning, okay?” I rubbed his head.
“Okay!” He hugged me happily.
“Where are your mommy and daddy?” It was strange that they had left such a small child alone at this time of night or just home alone in general.
As soon as I asked this question, the sound of the main door opening came from behind us.
“Sibyl, what are you doing here?” a woman's gasp entered my ears from behind. It was none other than my sister-in-law, Nina.
She stood on the doorstep with a pack of beer, her eyes wide and mouth slightly agape, as if she had seen a ghost.
I got to my feet and asked, “What's there to be surprised about? This is my house, I can return whenever I want, right?” I looked at her closely, studying her expression, which changed when she was reminded once again that she was only a tenant in this apartment.
Four years ago, I had purchased this apartment with my hard work, blood, and sweat in the middle of the city. I had only lived here for a month or two because Edwin wanted me to move to his pack. I did as he asked, but I never told him or anyone else about this apartment, so Edwin was unaware of this place.
When I had returned to grab some stuff at a later time I encountered my brother, who had accidentally impregnated a she-wolf that was not his soulmate. He had to take responsibility for his actions, but due to our old pack being destroyed, he had no pack to live in or money to sustain himself and he was also unemployed. I disliked my brother due to his drinking and rogue behavior that came from our father, but I pitied the innocent life growing in Nina's womb. They were close to sleeping on the streets. That was when I decided to let my brother use my apartment to stay until he found a job and a place to live. He started his life as a lone wolf and promised to live a respectful life with his new little family.
"Where did you go, leaving Abraham all alone?" I questioned, grabbing a water for myself.
"I was at my part-time job," she walked to the fridge and started placing beers inside. "You know, feeding three mouths is not easy in the city. You are so fortunate living in a pack like a queen enjoying the treatment of Luna," she sighed meaningfully.
“When both people earn a living then feeding three months is not a big deal,” I commented and she shut her mouth. “Plus, Jonathan runs the restaurant, right? He should make more than enough money to feed three months,” I added the same way she did.
“Yeah…” she tried to paste on a fake expression that I did not buy. Why had she looked away?
Nina had been born a warrior’s daughter from a reputed pack, but she was a slut. That's why her parents disowned her when she got knocked up by my good-for-nothing brother. It was unbelievable that she had been able to hide her pregnancy from her parents and pack for seven months. After my brother married her, they both started living in the city in my apartment as lone wolves.
Of course, she had always been envious of me for some reason. I could read her easily. The knowledge of my life turning upside down, my mate bringing home a mistress causing me to leave his pack and reject him, would surely bring her unimaginable satisfaction.
Or maybe I had been wrong about her because I noticed her panicked eyes landing on my luggage in the corner of the living room before snapping back at me. “Sibyl, did you…” she choked, then hurriedly checked the mate mark on my neck.
“I am staying here from now on,” I announced, dragging my luggage from the corner ready to enter my bedroom.
“You are staying here? How is this possible?” Nina suddenly grew louder, earning a blank stare from me. I always knew that she never wanted me to return so that she could steal my apartment but this time her panic seemed to have a different source than the other times. Something was off but I could not put a finger on it. She immediately controlled herself and stated, “I mean, you can always come to your home and stay, but what about your soulmate and pack?”
I smiled at her fake concern. “Don't worry about my affairs, Nina. Take care of your child, he seems hungry,” I gestured to Abraham, who was picking up a lint covered candy from the floor.
“Don't eat that! It is dirty!” Nina scolded him harshly, mercilessly smacking his hand away, proof of her horrible parenting.
I shook my head, pulling my keys out to open my bedroom door only to catch an unexpected scent.
“Where is Jonathan?” I turned towards Nina.
She looked extremely nervous. “Jonathan is…” She couldn't find the words though she didn't need to answer as he walked into the house drunk.
3. IT'S YOU
**Sibyl**
“Ninaaaa…” singing an absurd song, he staggered into the living room. The putrid unkept stench rolled in the garbage, emanating from him, along with the smell of alcohol and... the unmistakable scent of too many she-wolves to count, which could only come only be explained if he had returned from a brothel.
“Get me something to drink…” he shouted, starting to strip right there in the hall until he stopped in front of me. His expression changed slightly into a frown, his eyes blinking a couple of times to see clearly. “Nina? Why do you look like my sister…” he drew closer to my face, his hands on my waist.
I pushed him away, delivering a harsh slap across his face. His face snapped to the side as the burning sensation spread across his cheek waking him up. “Sibyl!” he gasped, placing a hand on his cheek, his eyes wide in surprise. “How come you are here…”
“How can a person that is supposed to smell like sweat from working all day at his restaurant smell like wine and she-wolves?” I raised an eyebrow.
He broke out in a cold sweat at my question. “I… I…” He couldn't find the words and exchanged a look with Nina, who stood to the side with an ugly expression.
“Don’t tell me you lied to me all these years about running a restaurant,” I remarked, realizing from his expression how correct my suspicion was.
During all these three years, I hadn't returned to this apartment due to my duties as a Luna and my busy life. However, Jonathan used to come and meet me every three months. He begged me for money to rent a restaurant so that he could run it to make a living. I thought he was beginning to understand responsibility, so every time he came for money, I helped him with funds from my own pocket. I even lent him money for Abraham, as he used to bring his son along every time. Though as it turned out everything had been a lie. That had been why Nina was so nervous earlier.
“What did you do with all the money I gave you?” I demanded, walking over to him.
Still holding his hand to his cheek, he took a nervous step back, avoiding eye contact. My blood boiled at the thought of him squandering my money on wine and brothels. I had trusted him and he had betrayed me.
I clenched my fists as I glared at him through my glasses. “Get out of my home, I’m giving you a month,” I ordered.
“What?” Nina's jaw dropped, her expression akin to someone who had just heard shocking news. I paid her no mind, my attention was solely focused on Jonathan's pale face.
“Sibyl, what are you saying?” Jonathan panicked, moving closer to me. “I'm truly sorry for lying to you, but please don't kick me out. Where will I go? I have a family to look after.”
“It's laughable that you suddenly remember you have a family. Do you think I give a damn about that when you don’t even care about your own family or life?” I glared at the person who was a stain on the term man. It had been foolish of me to trust him. “You've enjoyed being a freeloader in my place for three years, but not anymore. Crawl out into the city or become a rogue in the woods, I don’t care. I need my apartment empty. And yes, if you have guts then leave Abraham with me. I will gladly take care of that innocent child. You have a month to move out,” I declared, turning sharply to enter my bedroom, noticing Nina's horrified expression from behind my black glasses.
The terrified look Jonathan and Nina were sharing didn't seem to be solely because of my statement, there seemed to be something else that I found quite unsettling.
***
After taking a shower to clear my mind, I applied a patch over the mate mark on my neck to cover it. If I could not get rid of his mate mark, I was going to hide it, not wanting unwanted attention. Then I lay on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. It felt as if I had traveled back in time to when I had bought this apartment after my old pack had been destroyed, I had been struggling to make a living as a lone wolf. I had no pack, no support, and no love...
Edwin once again crossed my mind, and a feeling of disgust rose in my heart. I had to move on and start my new life. The best thing I had ever done was never telling him about this apartment, so we were never going to see each other again in this lifetime. Curling up on the bed, I fell asleep on an empty stomach. I didn't even take a dime from Edwin with me so I was in a bad financial condition. I had to earn money before my dwindling bank account became completely empty.
At least that was my thought until a month had passed.
"Here is your cat food and collar. Is there anything else I can help you with, sir?"
I intentionally placed the items on the counter with a loud thud, hoping to draw the attention of a man that had been staring at me incessantly.
"Are you blind?" he asked, his sickening excitement evident.
Behind my sunglasses, I returned his gaze with my wolf-like eyes. Only I knew how I managed to refrain from ripping this man's tongue out after enduring his repetitive question for the past week. Did people normally visit the pet store daily like this guy?
"Your bill comes to $250," I remarked as I began to pack up his purchase. Once he paid, I promptly moved on to assist another customer. However, the manager of the pet store that I worked at had observed the entire interaction and called me in for a chat at lunchtime.
"Sibyl, your sunglasses make everyone uncomfortable and could tarnish our pet store's image. Is the infection in your eyes still not healed? You mentioned it would be fine in a few days, but it's been over a week. Your sunglasses are really disconcerting. Some of out customers even think we've hired a blind person," he said, frowning.
My heart pounded in my chest. Did he already suspect something?
"If you don't take off those sunglasses, I'm afraid we can't continue employing you," he said helplessly, sighing with resignation.
I clenched my fists at my sides. So, the day had finally come.
"Alright, I resign. Please deposit my pay into my bank account," I said firmly, grabbing my phone and leaving the pet store.
How many times has this happened to me? By my count this was the fourth time, I guess. Finding this job has been difficult enough. I had obviously lied about the eye infection to secure the position because there was no way people would hire someone wearing sunglasses. They would demand I remove them, something I could never do because it would reveal my blindness. They had no idea that I could only see when I allowed my white wolf eyes to surface.
On the way home, I checked my bank account, where I had accumulated some money over the month from part-time and odd jobs. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to cover bills and food expenses. Every job I landed seemed to come to an end within a few days, with the demand to remove my glasses.
Lost in thought, I returned to my apartment. The upside was that I owned the place, so I didn't have to worry about paying rent. Thinking about that, Nina’s ugly attitude for the past month surfaced in my mind. She had finally shown her poisonous character as soon as I ordered them to get out of my home. It was clear that she never wanted to leave my apartment, that she already thought of the place as hers. I had been generous to let her and Jonthan stay for the month while they looked for another place to live because of Abraham. Jonathan had packed his luggage last night. When I entered my apartment, expecting them to have left already and for my house empty, what I found horrified me.
“What the hell is going on here?” my voice was barely above the whisper but it caught the attention of every werewolf in the room that had surrounded Jonathan. He had been beaten to the point that blood was oozing from various places on his body and his face was unrecognizable, the scariest thing was… A man with sharp brows was aiming his claws at Jonathan’s neck. Everything and everyone paused as soon as they spotted me in the room.
“There she is!” Jonathan suddenly pointed his finger at me, “She is my sister!! Did not I tell you I really have a sister! There she is!!” He cried. My muscles instantly tightened. Why was Jonathan telling them about me? Who were these people? And why were they in my home?
“So she is the one,” the man let go of Jonathan’s head and looked at me from head to toe with another werewolf in the room. Their eyes stopped at my sunglasses.
A very bad feeling settled in the pit of my stomach, “What are you people doing in my apartment?”
“Your apartment?” the man frowned at me. He seemed to be superior to others though he was not an Alpha blood. I guessed he was Beta and for some reason his voice sounded familiar.
“Yes, it’s my home. Now get out,” I sternly ordered. I did not know what kind of mess Jonathan had brought into my home but I did not want to do anything with it.
“It seems you don’t know,” he chuckled, walking over to me. “This apartment was sold to the Eclipse Moon Pack when your brother could not pay the installment on his debt,” he grinned.
“What did you say?” My phone slipped from my hand as I stared at him with wide eyes in shock. He simply shrugged his shoulders as if he was letting me process the shock. Zara shook me back to reality as I glared at first Jonathan then at the man, “THIS IS MY APARTMENT! NO ONE, THAT MEANS NO ONE CAN SELL IT TO PAY THEIR INSTALLMENT OR DEBT, WHATEVER IT IS OTHER THAN ME!” I declared, my voice echoing in the small space.
The expressions on all the men’s faces turned bitter from offense then the sound of shoes came from behind me as someone entered the apartment. Every wolf's eyes turned to whomever had just arrived, their eyes fearful. Suddenly I felt someone’s presence right behind me, a familiar dominance that I had felt a month ago slammed into me hard.
“The installment has been taken care of, how about paying me the principal?” a deep sexy voice entered my ears.
Surprised, I turned to look behind me, my blue eyes intenstally locking with a pair of hazel ones. An extremely handsome face came to my view. Never in my whole life had I seen such a handsome man before, he looked like pure sin. However, his cold aura surrounding me finally made me realize that it was the same Alpha that I had bumped into a month ago.
“What Principal?” My feet took a step back of their own volition, wanting to put some distance between us when he suddenly pulled me to his chest.
“Of course, it’s you,” he whispered, locking eyes with me as if he could see through my sunglasses.
4. HIS POSSESSION
SIBYL
"Of course, it's you," he said, his eyes locking with mine as if he could see through the protection of my sunglasses.
His gaze was emotionless, his handsome face unchanged, which made me realize I hadn't misheard. He had referred to me… the principal of Joanthan's debt. Horror gripped me as the ground seemed to slip from beneath my feet.
"Impossible..." I murmured, feeling my entire body grow cold as if I'd been plunged into icy water.
"The creation of the word 'impossible' is one of the mistakes this world has made," his voice was deep, as he stared intently into my eyes, as if he could sense every emotion and fear coursing through my veins. "Anything is possible, just like anything can be sold..." He paused, his eyes briefly lingering on my lips before locking with mine again. "Even a living being."
His words sent shivers down my spine, enveloping me in darkness. My breathing became uneven as I became acutely aware of our close proximity. "I don't agree," I remarked, breaking free from his gaze. He continued to stare at me intently as I stepped backward, only to be halted by the Beta blocking my path.
"Here is the proof," the Beta handed me some papers, signaling to the other men in the room to leave.
My eyes widened as my whole body turned cold as I laid my eyes on the papers. This had to be a nightmare. The first document was irrefutable evidence that my house had already been sold a year and a half ago to the Eclipse Moon Pack when my brother hadn't been able to pay the installments on his debt.
The Beta sighed at my silence, "Since you can't see, I'll tell you: the paper in your hand bears your thumbprint."
Hearing his words, I shifted my gaze to the next paper from under my sunglasses. My heart nearly stopped beating, and my mind went blank with terror. The document indeed bore my thumbprint. How was this possible? Why would I use my thumbprint when I could always sign? Then, the memory of me fainting after eating an ice cream a few days ago flashed through my mind.
Refusing to eat anything that Nina had prepared, I had been dining out. However, on that day, when Abraham came into my bedroom after dinner with ice cream that I had bought him, I had eaten with him without a second thought. I had passed out afterward, attributing it to overworking. However, it turned out that Nina and Jonathan had put something in my ice cream, and now their deed was laid bare in front of my eyes.
Jonathan had sold me to an underground werewolf gambling den a few days ago to repay his debt. That gambling den belonged to the Alpha whose eyes were boring holes in the side of my face, was none other than Alpha Kashton's. He was the merciless Rogue Alpha who struck fear into all the werewolf packs of the realm. His mere presence signaled death and bloodshed. Wherever he stepped, the territory became his domain. I had been sold to the devil.
Both papers, the source of my destruction, slipped from my hand in horror before I shifted my gaze to Jonathan, who was looking everywhere but at me. Growing up surrounded by so much betrayal from my own blood relatives and others that I’ve loved, this one betrayal from my brother had truly shattered me beyond repair. I could not seem to form any words, only a seething fury coursing through my veins.
At this point, both my wolf and I thirsted for blood and death. I grabbed a wooden chair from the side and charged at Jonathan. "Sibyl! Sibyl!! Sibyl!!!" he cried out in terror as he scrambled backward.
"HOW DARE YOU!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, my wolf joining in as I brought the chair crashing down on his head with all my strength. The wood shattered into pieces as his head split open, blood gushing forth with the force of the blow. He was immediately knocked to the ground, appearing almost lifeless. But he was not dead.
The Beta was visibly stunned, his shock was palpable even without me sparing him a glance. I dropped the broken chair leg to the ground, my mind was a mess as I turned my gaze to the Alpha who had addressed me as "Principal" earlier.
"I am not a commodity that one can buy or sell," I declared, standing firm. "I am a living being."
The Beta frowned bitterly, while the Alpha kept looking at me with an unchanged expression. He lit a cigarette without tearing his gaze away from me, stepping in Jonathan's blood that had pooled on the floor so that we stood face to face. "True, not a commodity, but not a living being either," he took a drag of his cigarette, his words confusing me. "Everything that belongs to me is my possession," he proclaimed, blowing a puff of smoke in my face.
Chills ran down my spine when he referred to me as his possession. "I am not your possession," I retorted firmly.
"That is something I decide," he coldly stated.
I clenched my shaking fists, "I was sold without my consent!" I argued.
"The concept of consent does not exist," he cut me off sharply, his voice growing graver as he stepped closer, closing the remaining distance between us. "The papers bear your thumbprint. Your brother has accumulated millions of dollars in debt. So when he failed to pay, he sold you off to the brothel," he paused, his eyes briefly falling on the patch on my neck where I had hidden my mate mark before returning his gaze to me. "Now, don't make me explain it twice. Use the brain the Goddess gave you and follow me," he ordered.
"Brothel?" My heart dropped into my stomach. So I had been sold to his brothel...
"Glen," he glanced back at his Beta, who immediately grabbed my arm then started dragging me out as the Alpha exited the apartment first as if they were fleeing the plague. My limbs were paralyzed for a second in shock, then my senses were overwhelmed by the next moment.
"NO!!" I screamed, struggling wildly with all my strength to successfully break free from his grip.
"Fuck!" Glen gritted his teeth in annoyance. "Blind girl, you need to come with me now while I'm being nice. It's a miracle I'm the one taking you and not the Alpha that just left. He's a walking devil. All genders are equal to him, he doesn't care whether the person he's dealing with is a man or a woman."
"Like I give a fuck," I growled, storming into my bedroom and locking the door behind me.
"FUCK!!" Glen barked in annoyance, pounding on the bedroom door until he heard me breaking the window as I jumped out. "OPEN THE DOOR! YOU'RE DEAD IF YOU RUN!!"
I heard him yelling as I jumped from window to window. For the first time, I regretted buying an apartment on the eighth floor. The height was so daunting that I could die if I fell, but being sold into a brothel meant dying every second for who knew how long. It was something I was not ready to accept. The mere thought of it scared me to the point that the fear of death from falling vanished from my heart.
When I reached the first-floor window, I took a deep breath and jumped down. My heart was pounding out of fear, causing me to lose balance and stumble upon landing. Thankfully, I didn't get hurt too badly. Hissing in pain, I rolled on the ground once before getting up to run. I had to get away. I had to hide. I had to do anything I could to avoid falling into the hands of that Alpha...
"Going somewhere?" Keshton asked.
I paused abruptly in my run when I saw Keshton standing right in front of me. My face turned pale at the sight of him. How... how had he appeared in front of me like that? Had he run all the way down the stairs? But he couldn't possibly be that fast. So how?
"I thought I told you I don't like to repeat myself," he reiterated with a cigarette lazily pressed between his lips, giving him a dangerously attractive look.
"Let me go," I said, breathing hard as I took a step back.
"That's not an option," he announced, crushing the cigarette on the ground as walking closer to me.
My heart leaped into my throat. With a mere glance, I could sense his intentions. "Don't come any closer to me," I warned.
"Or what?" he raised his brows, closing the distance between us.
"Or I could kill you!" I partially shifted in the blink of an eye as I attacked his chest. My movements were quick and slick, ripping off a big part of his chest. Since shifting in a human territory was against werewolf laws, I couldn't shift into my wolf. However, he just stopped in his tracks, studying my flushed face and burning eyes for a second as if he was reading me. He brushed off his white shirt without looking at how much blood he was losing and said to me.
"You want to fight?" The look in his eyes was deeply offensive.
"I'm not going down without a fight," I growled. "You can take my dead body with you, but there's no way I'll willingly follow you."
I attacked him first seeing he stood in the way of my exit from the alley between the buildings. He didn't move at all. Remaining in place, he defended against my attack without blinking an eye. I knew he was an Alpha, the most powerful and dangerous in our race. While I was ready to fight and die rather than be taken away.
I punched, scratched, and hit him time and time again, but he didn't seem to be affected. Every time I attacked him, he would reverse the attack back on me, causing me to get hurt. The corner of my mouth bled and my head spun. If this continued, I would be quickly defeated. All the fighting skills I had honed over the years seemed overpowered by him. It felt like he was toying with me. This feeling was unbelievably degrading. I decided to end the fight with one last move, a move that had worked in the past and could either lead to my victory or...
Charging at him, I attacked him with the claws of my right hand, which he blocked as I had predicted. Then I executed my secret move, using the claws of my left hand to aim for his throat. Just as I was about an inch away, he grabbed my wrist. I gasped, feeling both of my wrists in his grasp, knowing he could easily break them.
In those silent moments, he locked eyes with me while my heart beat like a racehorse before he suddenly pushed both of my arms aside and attacked my face. I fell to the ground.
I shut my eyes tightly, bracing for the pain of my face being ruined for the rest of my life from his attack. In my confusion, I didn't feel any pain. Slowly, I opened my eyes to find Keshton squatting down right in front of me.
He suddenly put his finger under my chin to lift it, the corner of his lips raised slightly. "You've got something interesting going on here," he murmured.
My eyes widened as I realized he was referring to my eyes. They immediately went to his hand, which was holding my sunglasses, and then back to him as he continued to study me.
Don't tell me he had already deduced that I wasn't blind but acting. Or perhaps he knew from the day I had bumped into him.
I immediately looked away from him, fearing he might call me a ghost or something equally derogatory, as others had done in the past.
"Give me my sunglasses back," I growled, reaching out for them.
"Why?" he asked, raising his hand above his head to make it difficult for me to reach them. My knees wobbled causing me to lose my balance, I fell against his chest. He quickly wrapped his arms around my waist, catching me just in time. I gasped and looked up at him, where he was already staring intensely at me.
"You have silver eyes," he murmured.
I froze at his unexpected remark. Did he just call my eyes silver? Was he crazy? No, he was making fun of me. It was enough to make my blood boil.
"Give them back!" I glared at him, this time defiantly locking eyes with him.
He grabbed my neck, pulling me closer to his face. "The first lesson of being my possession is never raise your voice to me," he growled, pressing on a vein in my neck that made me black out. My head spun and I fainted in his arms.
I didn't know what happened next, but I experienced the sensation of him throwing me over his shoulder as if I were a bag of potatoes before he walked out of the alley.
5. ANYTHING BUT SEX
Sibyl
“Luna, welcome back,” the pack members greeted as I stepped into the living room. Their voices were warm, but none of them met my gaze. Though they said kind things, fear and discomfort lingered in their expressions. I could feel it — the unease in the air. My life had changed the moment I lost my sight, and deep down, I knew I could never return to the old Sibyl. Still, I smiled and carried on my duties as Luna, pretending everything was fine.
"She has white eyes!"
"Just passing by her scares me."
"Don't look straight into her eyes. You could be cursed."
The whispers and murmurs followed me wherever I went, a constant reminder of the fear and unease my changed appearance brought to those around me.
I was aware of all the gossip that circulated behind my back, but I ignored it with a smile until I heard someone commenting that my cursed eyes were the reason I couldn't bear a child. A child that I craved with every fiber of my being. Were my eyes really causing my own fertility? Those unnecessary comments wounded me so deeply that I decided to hide my eyes even from myself by wearing sunglasses. I had already stopped looking at myself in the mirror on the day I became blind, from that point on those sunglasses became my suit of armor. They became both a habit and my shield.
A shield against the judgmental whispers and names that people called me. Until he whispered...
"You have silver eyes..."
Gasping, I opened my eyes wide, his voice echoing in my ears. He… referred to my eyes as silver… My breathing became erratic as my whole body began to sweat. I stared at the dark roof above me, trying to orient myself. Where... where was I? In a car? Panic surged through me as I tilted my head. The last memory I had was of running away from Alpha Keshton only to end up fighting with him until he did something that made me black out.
I wasn’t sure how much time had passed, but suddenly I found myself in a car. I was in the passenger seat, when I looked at the person driving the car, my heart nearly stopped.
"You..." my voice caught in my throat when I remembered how he had knocked me out earlier and taken me away. "Where are you taking me?!" I demanded.
Alpha Keshton briefly glanced at me before refocusing on driving. He ignored me and my questions as if I wasn't even there.
I looked around in panic, trying to make sense of my surroundings as the car drove through unfamiliar streets. Then the red lights of the street illuminated the scene before me: she-wolves dressed in revealing clothes, the scent of alcohol hung heavy in the air, and males engaging in various sexual acts.
My throat went dry when I realized where we were. He had already brought me to hell, an underground werewolf brothel.
The car stopped, all I heard was his voice, "Get out,"
"No!" I snapped, my eyes locking onto his. "Let me go!" I screamed
"Get out before I tie your hands and legs then drag you along behind me," he stated coldly, his eyes devoid of emotion as if he were speaking about handling an animal rather than a person.
"You're a monster," I glared at him hatefully. "Can't you see I'm a living being? Why do you have to ruin my life like this?"
“It’s your brother that ruined your life,” he reminded me of the bitter truth that was a slap in the face. He was right but I was the victim here.
"Please, let me go. I don’t want to be here. I'm not that kind of woman..."
"All women are the same," he declared, grabbing my hand to drag me out of the car. What did he mean?
"NOOO..." I screamed out of fear and sharply bit his hand before I was pulled out. He recoiled, his hand bleeding, as he glared at me sharply. I really tested his patience, "I'm telling you, let me go," I scrambled back, fear overwhelming me.
"Come here..." he growled lowly, charging at me. His body was so large that even the car seemed small as he hovered over me. I knew if he got a hold of me this time, it was over.
"NO! NO!! NO!!!" Fear overpowered my sanity, and in a moment of panic, I made the biggest mistake of my life. I raised my hand and slapped him across the face.
The car fell into a dead silence, my face went pale as I realized how badly I had fucked up an already terrible situation. I really had no intention of slapping him. My heart pounded in my chest at the sight of his handsome face darkening and his Amber eyes turning red.
It was as if he were about to rip my throat out or shift into his wolf to let it feast on my corpse. He grabbed my arm violently and pulled me close to his face. "You will fucking regret that for the rest of your life!" he growled in my face.
I stared at him with wide eyes, my lips slightly parted, as he yanked me out of the car. I screamed, unable to resist. His grip on my arm was so firm that struggling only caused me pain. Everyone's eyes fell upon Keshton dragging me while I screamed and tried to break free with all my strength, to no avail. That was when I heard gasps from the crowd then I realized it was because I wasn't wearing my glasses. The past trauma caused by my eye color stabbed at my composure, triggering a rush of horrifying recollections. My shield was gone. Instinctively, I pulled back my wolf eyes until my blind human eyes appeared once again. I had to hide my eyes.
Everything went black in an instant, I couldn't see a thing causing me to badly stumble and nearly injure myself. I instinctively reached out and grabbed his hand for support. He suddenly stopped and I felt my breast brushing his chest as if he was not beside me anymore but right in front of me. His hot breath ever so slightly brushed my face quickening my heartbeat. Why... why had he stopped? My whole body turned cold with fear, wondering what his intentions were or what had caused him to stop. However, unbeknownst to me, he was staring at my face. Due to my blindness, my eyes weren't staying in one place as I tried to listen to my surroundings with a great sense of panic, unaware that the man holding my arm was staring down at the hand tightly holding his.
His silence was very unsettling. What was he doing? What was he thinking? If only I had my glasses then I could see again. I considered using my wolf’s eyes, but there seemed to be a lot of people around that were holding me back.
"Alpha Keshton!" A female's exclamation entered my ears along with the sound of her hurried footsteps. The voice seemed to echo, indicating that I was inside a building. "Is there a special reason you are visiting us today, Alpha? If you had called me, I would have sent some new she-wolves to the Eclipse Moon Pack to save you the trip," her voice was fearful yet respectful, a tone reserved for the owner of the place. "I will get the girls ready for you now..."
"No need," Keshton cut her off, "Where is Noah?" as he asked, his phone rang.
"He should be around. I will mind-link him to let him know that you are here," she trailed off, then asked tentatively, "Is she a new girl joining the brothel, Alpha?"
My muscles tightened, not because of her question, but due to Keshton's silence. The phone continued ringing over and over again but he did not pick up.
"Tell Noah to take her to my room. If she runs away, all of your heads will serve as a warning to whoever comes after you," he commanded, pushing me towards the woman before I heard him answer the call and walk away.
A chill ran down my spine. Why was he sending me to his room?
"A blind woman?" the she-wolf gasped, but I could feel her touch my face as if she were closely examining me. "She is beautiful, so her blindness wouldn't matter. And she has a great figure too," she remarked, then proceeded to touch my breasts.
"Don't touch me!" I angrily shoved her hand away.
I pulled away from her, turning to where Keshton should have been standing. "Let me go! I don't want to be here!" I yelled, but there was no response from him. I couldn't even smell his scent. Had he left? I raised my hand, trying to reach out to him, but all I grasped was air.
"The Alpha is gone," the woman stated dryly, grabbing my arm and leading me somewhere. "Don't think that he will pay attention to a little blind girl like you. There are way more beautiful girls here. However, it is surprising to see a blind woman here. You must owe him a fortune," she murmured.
I silently struggled against her, panicking at the scent of wine and sex that surrounded me.
"Noah, take her to the Alpha's room," the woman instructed a man who began to lead me away. Just as I felt the touch of a man and heard the door shut behind me, alarms started going off in my head. I could no longer care if someone saw my eyes. Zara immediately appeared in my vision, and what came into view first was a beautiful yet large room with a king-sized bed. Everything was opulent and alluring, with Keshton's scent filling every corner. I was truly in his room.
"Lay down on the bed," Noah ordered, approaching me with a dangerously tight rope in his hands.
"Why?" I frowned.
His face twisted when he finally noticed my eyes and that I could see his actions. "Are you deaf as well as blind? Lay down on the bed before the Alpha comes,"
Did he take me for a fool? "He only wanted me to go to his room. He never said anything about tying me to the bed,"
When he was caught in his ill intentions, he slapped me across the face. "When I say lay down, then lay down," he growled. My sanity snapped along with that hit. I could accept just about anything but violence from a man. All my emotions and panic came to a head as my anger erupted.
“How dare you glare at me bitch!” he growled, raised his hand to me again.
I grabbed his hand in mid-air, kneeing him in the groin with all my strength.
"AAAHHH…" he cried out in agony, falling to his knees as if his life were being sucked out through his mouth. “Bitch I will kill… you…”
"Never raise a hand to me," I growled, taking his hand in my mouth and ripping two of his fingers off with my teeth.
"AAAAAHHHHHHH…" he screamed at the top of his lungs in pain.
I dropped his disfigured hand, spitting the dirty fingers out as I stared him down with blank eyes. "Next time, it won't be two fingers, it'll be your head," I murmured, turning to run. I had to get out of here. I had to escape before anyone noticed. However, after taking only two steps I found Keshton standing in the doorway, his hands in his pockets. It was as if he had been watching everything from the beginning.
I froze in my spot, my heart beating wildly in my chest as our eyes locked with each other.
"Get out," Keshton ordered Noah, without tearing his eyes from me. Noah glared at me, got up with difficulty and left the room, groaning in pain.
The door shut behind Keshton, leaving us alone in the room. He mercilessly stepped on one of the severed fingers on the floor, walking over to me.
"Don't come closer to me," I began slowly taking steps back. I wished I could handle him like I did others, but he was far beyond too strong for me to handle.
"Or what?" he raised an eyebrow, as my legs hit the bed behind me leaving no space for me to escape. Keshton stopped an inch away from me looking down into my face. "Should I be worried for my fingers?" he murmured, grabbing my jaw and rubbing his thumb seductively over my lips, wiping away the blood.
My whole body shivered at his touch. "Don't touch me," I whispered, showing no sign of submission.
"You are my possession. I can touch you however I see fit," he replied, pushing me onto the bed.
I panicked crawling back, watching him climb onto the bed. "Don't come any closer!" I screamed, shifting my hand halfway in defense. At this point, I was truly scared of him.
He suddenly pinned my hand above my head, so swiftly that I didn't have time to react. "I dare you to shift into your wolf," he growled lowly, his wolf appearing in his eyes as a last warning. "Let me clarify your position as my possession."
I froze, halting my struggles as he sat on my upper thighs, leaning down close to my face. "You. Have. Been. Sold. Sold as my possession, which means I can do anything with you, and you can do nothing but obey. You can never run away, nor death is an option for you…”
I glared hatefully up at him as he defined my whole life under his rule. “Never! I will fight you with every fiber of my being, no matter the cost….”
“Very well, I suppose you want your useless brother, his slutty mate, and child to pay the debt."
At the mention of Abraham, I forgot how to breathe in my horror.
“Why the child?” I questioned. I was all ready to let Jonnathan and Nina pay debt and take away Abraham with me.
“Do you really think those two people’s organs would be enough to pay?” His dark words shocked me to no end.
I clearly understood the implication: if I didn't pay the money, Jonathan and Nina would be dragged into this hell that I had no problem but, endangering Abraham's life and future as well. He was the child I had always wanted as my own. No, I couldn't risk Abraham's life. He was innocent. The problem was that the only way to save him was to pay off the millions of dollars in debt that his parents had accumulated which I couldn't afford.
My attempts to resist had long since ceased, leaving me motionless in his grasp. "I will pay you back. Don't harm anyone innocent."
His response was chillingly, punctuated by the flicker of a cigarette between his fingers. "That will all depend on your actions in repaying your debt," he stated, his gaze trailing from my lips to my chest with a predatory gleam.
My whole body grew as cold as ice, “I would prefer death over being killed slowly every second I spend in a different man’s bed,” I declared.
His eyes returned to mine as he leaned down in my face more and replied, “Then become my personal sex toy,” he offered, his bulging cock pressed against my stomach.
My eyes widened at the offer. He did not bother to hide the lust in his eyes. He wanted me. I clutched the bed sheets in surprise. He was… big. Why was he hard? He wanted to fuck me, right then and there.
He ground his cock against my belly, leaning even closer to my face, it threw me in the pit of despair.
“I will repay the money by doing part time jobs,” I hurriedly placed my hand on his chest.
He stopped just inches away from my face, and for the first time, I saw a chuckle escape his lips, a sound that sent shivers down my spine despite the circumstances. It lasted for only a moment before he pulled away, bringing the cigarette to his lips. "An entire lifetime of you working part-time jobs wouldn't be able to pay half of the debt," he remarked, taking a drag from his cigarette with a lazy nonchalance.
His words struck me like a blow to the chest, leaving me speechless. How could I have forgotten the immensity of the mountain of debt that loomed over me? It was like facing a cliff with no way to climb down. I glanced at his bulging cock, then back at him, the realization sinking in that there was no escape from this nightmare.
“Now that you understand, strip,” he ordered, his gaze remained serious, leaving no room for argument. Panic surged through me, but before I could protest, his cock pressed against my vagina, sending a jolt of fear through my body.
"Wait!" I gasped, my heart racing with desperation. "I will pay you back by doing anything you say."
His eyes shifted at my stubbornness as he slowly cupped my cheek with his large hand, drawing me closer to his lips. "Anything I say?" he repeated, his voice low and intense.
Our eyes locked and our bodies close enough to feel each other's warmth. I nodded, my voice barely above a whisper, "Anything but sex."
"Let's see how long you can hold onto the 'Anything but sex,' rule" he whispered back, his hot breath fanning against my skin.
6. THE BLIND GIRL?!
Eclipse Moon Pack
The painful growl of a wolf echoed in the packhouse. A badly beaten wolf was mercilessly dragged out of a metal cage, blood oozing from various wounds and his breathing hardly audible.
“After laying a trap for you days ago, I finally caught you,” Glen glanced down at the wolf that had been thrown at his feet and kicked him so hard that the impact forced him to shift into his human form due to the pain.
The man rolled on the floor, holding his stomach, but could only manage a whimper. “It… it wasn’t really me.”
It wasn't you then who was the motherfucker who mixed wolfsbane into the Alpha’s drink on the CCTV footage?” Glen grabbed him violently by the hair, yanking his head back to make him watch the video footage that was running on the large TV screen in the room.
The man’s eyes grew large in terror as the footage of him secretly slipping a few drops played out for all eyes on the screen. Even having been a pack member for more than five years, he had no idea there could have been a camera there. Glen turned the man violently towards him and whispered darkly, “Did you really not understand that the ground you were playing on was actually the territory of a monster?”
An evil grin spread across Glen's face causing the man’s face to turn white in horror.
In the werewolf realm, typical packs seldom tangled with powerful packs and Alphas. Power and wealth held more sway than the life of an individual, easily overshadowing them. However, over the years a new terror had arisen in the realm, one that struck fear into the hearts of every werewolf pack. That was when another law was added, not by a single pack, but by all werewolf packs collectively: Never cross paths with the Rogue Alpha Keshton.
The strongest and deadliest Alpha in the realm was feared not only by werewolf packs but by other supernatural creatures and hunters as well. Every rebellious head that turned in his general direction he easily crushed under his boot heel. However, the enmity between werewolves and hunters had escalated to unprecedented levels, resulting in bloodshed and the destruction of countless werewolf packs. Werewolf packs were being rapidly hunted down, but the hunter’s mission of wiping them out completely was being hindered by the Rogue Alpha. He was like the living embodiment of the grim reaper, protecting his pack like a wraith, destroying anyone that posed a threat to them.
Thanks to Keshton’s intimidating reputation, the hunters had to seriously consider before targeting any werewolf pack seeing as Alphas from other packs would turn to Alpha Keshton in their time of need. At this point, all werewolf packs were silently being shielded by him, though no one openly admitted the fact that they had bowed down to an Alpha that was actually the leader of rogues in the realm. That's what made him so incredibly powerful.
“You did not mix wolfbane in Alpha's drink for fun, right?” Glen raised an eyebrow.
The man literally wept tears of blood, his whole body was shaking, “I… I don’t know…”
Glen grew angrier as he slammed the man’s head into the floor, “You’re still lying! Do you think you can escape? Just tell me who put you up to it. It was the hunters, right?”
The man clamped his mouth shut no matter how much he was tortured it wasn’t until a dominant and a very powerful aura filled the room. The wolf shed more bloody tears while holding his breath in horror, his heart racing at the sound of shoes ricocheted off the walls. “He…” his voice caught in his throat in fear.
“Tsk, tsk, tsk, he is already here,” Glen shook his head, “You should have spilled everything when I was asking nicely. Now you are fucked,” he sighed out in disappointment knowing what was coming next.
His head was still pinned to the floor, the man’s shaking eyes caught sight of a pair of expensive shiny shoes entering the room. Glen let his grip loosen on the man as he stepped away. The man’s eyes grew larger and his pupils blew wide in fear, his entire body became paralyzed as he watched the shoes approach. He wanted to run from the approaching monster that he was certain was going to rip his heart from his chest then eat it in front of him. He wanted to dig a hole in the floor so that he could bury himself before that but he could but he could do nothing. All he could do was end his existence in this world but being killed by Keshton was the equivalent of dying thousands of times. So he decided to take his own life in his terror.
“Fuck!” Glen gnashed his teeth as he rushed over to the man but it was too late. The man had committed sucide right there in front of them using some sort of cap on one of his back teeth.
He lay dead on the floor, his open eyes reflecting Keshton’s shoes. “He is dead, He seems well trained. I am damn sure that hunters are involved. Now they are going to these extreme measures like mixing wolfbane into your drink,” Glen grumbled, looking up at Keshton who had both hands in his pockets and a cigarette lazily between his lips.
“Discard him,” he stated, without bothering to glance at the dead wolf. Two wolves standing in the corner of the room immediately grabbed the dead wolf's legs and started to drag him out.
“He did not give me anything, no matter what I did. He committed sucide at the sight of you. You should lighten some of that emotionless expression from that handsome face of yours,” Glen walked toward Keshton with a sigh.
“Can’t be helped. I was born with this face,” Keshton murmured, crushing the cigarette.
“That devilsh look that screams ‘fuck off’ is panty dropping for woman but scares men to death,” he chuckled, subconsciously looking pass a beautiful figure that appeared in the door way causing Glen's smile to instantly fade.
“The blind girl!” He exclaimed in surprise, blinking a couple of times to make sure he was not seeing things. The woman had long red blonde hair, a small beautiful face, and a pair of sunglasses resembling that daring she-wolf from earlier!
